Dear members,

Our annual meeting was bubbling over with information this year. The elections were spirited, with fine candidates, challenging for positions.

I would like to Welcome Jim Hudson as our new Membership and Safety Director. He will be replacing Jeff Beers. Jeff has done an outstanding job for the club over the past two years and the board wants to say Thank You Jeff for your fine service.

We spent some time as a club talking about our current membership being low. All are encouraged to help and any member who brings a new member will receive a free 152 hour for there efforts. Also since the meeting I have been receiving marketing ideas from members. If you have some, send them to me and we will review them at our next board meeting.

Our membership did the right thing, and voted in new pricing for the New Year. This pricing is necessary to preserve our level of safety and at the same time attract new members. Monthly dues will be reviewed at the June general meeting.

New pricing will begin Feb 26 2009 as follows

Monthly dues $70 + $10 Avionics and upgrades fund = $80.00 / month / member

Aircraft rates are based on $3.00 per gallon Av-gas. Flying rates will be adjusted if that changes.

These new rates should help you to earn that new rating you have been putting off.
