Have you always dreamed of flying?   T-Craft Aero club offers the best way to put wings on that dream.  Joining the club offers you low hourly rates, safe and well maintained aircraft, and a cadre of well seasoned flight instructors.  And when you’re finished you have the same planes to fly that you used in your training.  Most flight schools do not want you to use their planes for overnight or extended trips, after you’re finished; they need them for training.

You can arrange a flight and meeting with one of the club member instructors and experience the joy of flight that Wilbur and Orville experienced over 100 years ago.  The flight will give you the experience of flying in a small plane and understand the basics of flight.   The instructor will show you the basic maneuvers of climb, level flight, turns, and descents that you will need to learn in flight training.  The instructor will answer all of your questions about the FAA requirements, privileges, study materials, and process to obtain your pilot certificate.  To read some stories of other people who took the step your thinking of taking, check out AOPA’s  (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) lets go flying web page.

To arrange a flight and to get more detailed information on what it takes to learn to fly, contact one of the club member instructors listed below, or if you know a club member you could arrange a flight with them.

If you join the club, you have access to the non-member  T-Craft approved instructors.

Federal Aviation Regulations require a minimum of 40 hours flying time under the supervision of an instructor.  While many students complete requirements in 45-55 hours flying time, some will take more.  Ground school is also recommended, but many students study at home with DVD study programs offered by several companies.

The time and cost for a student to get his/her private pilot's certificate varies.  If you stick to a regular schedule of couple lessons per week, most students can complete the requirements in 6 to 8 months for approximately $6,500 - $8,500, depending on the aircraft used for training.   This includes flying time, instructor time, training ,materials, ground school, FAA written exam, flight exam with FAA examiner, and physical exam.     If you're interested in joining T-Craft Aero Club and earning your pilot certificate, or have additional questions please contact us.
